Election Disinformation in Communities of Color
As would-be authoritarians seek and gain power at all levels of government, it’s essential that all voters have access to reliable, trusted information so they can make their voices heard in November. Join Protect Democracy on Friday, June 24 at 1:00pm ET / 10:00am PT for a conversation about election disinformation in communities of color in the United States—an offline problem as much as it is an online problem.

Experts will discuss the nature of the threat to communities of color in the U.S., its consequences, and what steps stakeholders can take to mitigate it. Hear about tried-and-true methods that organizations on the ground use to build trust and tackle information shortcomings in their communities. Wednesday’s conversation will expand upon Protect Democracy’s new report, written by our partners at the University of Texas at Austin, about structural election disinformation in communities of color.
This event is on-the-record and includes open questions from the audience.
